The Olympics are in full swing...and so is Ramadan. In East London, host to the games, hundreds of Muslims and non Muslims have gathered to celebrate both events in a mega iftaar. Community leaders from different faiths were in attendance. Many also fasted for the day in solidarity. Politicians like MP thessa Jowel were in attendance as well as tower hamlets Muslim mayor Lutfur Rahman. Muslims make up a big part of this community and are integral to society here.
