I had a wonderful conversation this morning! The discussion aimed to raise ideas about how to ensure good flow of information around the Renaissance Dam. It is said over and over again that Arabic-language information in Ethiopia is said to be "at no time". Following this, it was announced that an Arabic-language news and information service would be launched in the country's largest media, and Fana Broadcasting would probably be the first. In fact, in my country where there are millions of Muslims and Arabic-speaking citizens, it is surprising that there are not many Arabic-language media outlets. Perhaps this is the time when things will change.
