Mrs Keria has resigned as Speaker of the House of Federation

Addis Ababa, June 1, 2012 (FBC) Mrs Kerry Ibrahim, who has been serving as Speaker of the House of Federation, has resigned.

In a statement to Tigray TV, Mrs. Kerry announced that she had resigned.

It has been known that the members of the House of the Federation have been acting before the House of Representatives for giving up their role as Speaker of the House.

Mrs. Kerry was elected in April 2010 as Speaker of the Federation.

The Council has called on its members to hold its 5th regular session on Wednesday and Thursday before the 5th session of Parliament.
