A 79-year-old woman named Wang Mou survived for almost 3 days buried in a tomb without food or water.

The woman was buried by her 58-year-old son, Ma Mou, in a gravesite in north-westeen China's Shaanxi province. .
She was rescued after the suspect's partner alerted police to report that her husband took his mother away days ago and had not brought her back.

The grave was excavated on May 5 and the woman was found alive but weak. She was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

The son has been arrested.
